July 2008 Outreach
Hola! We hope you enjoyed reading and seeing how the Lord worked in the lives of our youth during camp and our lives as well, as we were incredibly blessed with such love from these teens.
There are a group of women from Shan Creek Community Bible Church with Pastor Guy Shields, in Grants Pass , Oregon , that have been working all year on a big donation to the children here in Argentina . Donna Joplin, along with 6 other ladies, knitted hats, scarves & mittens all year long. There were a total of about 200. Since we can not trust the mailing system here, they sent everything to the Teen Mania group to bring when they came for their outreach with us. It is difficult to put into words the joy on the faces of the kids and the sparkle in their eyes when they received this gift of love. We have the deepest gratitude for the work that these ladies did to put a smile on the face of a child.
Teen Mania not only participated in the youth camp with us, but also did a Vacation Bible School for the children. They taught the children memory verses, and ministered to them with songs, skits, & puppets.

Talking about Jesus |
Perhaps the biggest blessing from the Teen Mania Outreach was their gift of $500.00 to purchase food and make baskets of groceries for families. There were 40 families that received this gift of food that contained about 50.pesos worth of groceries. Teen Mania, with the help of our youth, bagged up the groceries, and then visited the homes. This blessed many families, as the inflation is incredibly high here right now and basic food items are difficult for these families. This also gave us open doors to pray with the families and talk to them about Jesus. Since then, we have had other families come asking if we have more groceries.

Ready To Donate |
Also, Wal-Mart has been a huge blessing, donating monthly to us milk, sugar, rice, chocolate powder mix, corn meal, and sometimes pasta. We still have to purchase the ham, cheese, canned meat, etc, for the other food needed to feed the children daily, but we have to tell you that Wal-Mart donating all the other food items is a huge blessing every month.

We are beginning the work program with the boys we told you about some time ago. We have been blessed with the funding to begin. In the barrios we work in, 99.9% of the boys do not finish high school. In Argentina , you must be 18yrs old to work and have a high school diploma, to even work in grocery store or fast food restaurant. These boys need a hope for their future. With this program, the boys will be busy working instead of in the streets getting in trouble. It will allow them to help support their families, feeding them & providing for basic needs. There are no automatic carwashes here. This program will include a motorized bicycle with a cart with all the tools necessary to wash cars. We are beginning with one set-up, with 3 boys in the program. 2 boys will switch days, and they will have one helper. They will get the clients and go to the client's home or work and wash their cars once a week. There are many people from our local church interested in this service. Please stay in prayer for this program, specifically for the safety of the boys, as well as the Almighty protection from robbery.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support for giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, as well as meeting their basic needs of love, food, and a hope for their future.
